Ranchi, June 10: The Special court will hear former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad’s petition demanding release of his passport on June 14 after the judicial work remained suspended after lunch to pay tribute to two dignitaries associated with the court who died this month.
The two included former Chotanagpur Law College principal Jagat Kishore Verma and advocate Ujjwal Sahay alias Bobby. The advocates observed three-minute silence for the peace of the departed soul of two dignitaries and then did not turn up in the court.
Prasad, convicted in animal husbandry scam cases, on Monday had filed a petition in the CBI court demanding release of his passport saying it is required for his Singapore trip for medical treatment.
