Ranchi DC administers oath to personnel on National Voters’ Day

Ranchi, Jan 25: An oath taking ceremony was organised in Ranchi Collectorate Complex on the occasion of National Voters’ Day on Tuesday. Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan administered the oath to the senior officials and office workers to exercise their franchise. He said that keeping their faith in democracy, they should maintain the dignity of democratic traditions.

The DC urged the office bearers and employees to maintain the dignity of democratic traditions, keeping the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections, keeping their faith in democracy, without fear of religion. He further pledged the officials to exercise their franchise in all elections without being influenced by class, caste, community, language or any other inducement.

The oath was taken by the officials and personnel of Directorate of Urban Administration, Urban Development and Housing Department of Ranchi. Meanwhile, all Covid Protocols and guidelines were followed.

National Voters’ Day was celebrated on Tuesday at all the booths of three panchayats of Bhawnathpur Vidhan Sabha of Hariharpur OP area of Garhwa district. The BLO administered oaths to the voters at all the booths. Akhilesh Kumar Singh, BLO of Middle School Hariharpur told the present voters that National Voters’ Day is a national festival. ‘On this day, we all have to take a pledge that we will uphold the dignity of the democratic traditions of our country,’ he said. People were administered an oath on National Voters’ Day in the several regions of the state including Palamu, Garhwa, Latehar.
