Ranchi, Aug.23: Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan today directed land acquisition officers to go on the spot personally for physical verification of land acquired for Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) in the district and submit a report by September 15.
During physical verification, DC Ranjan has asked them to collect project-wise information and in case of any hurdle in acquisition submit a joint report. Concerned officials of the district administration and CCL were present.
Earlier, the DC in a different meeting reviewed different social welfare schemes running in the district through virtual mode. During the meeting, it was informed to him that as many as 21509 beneficiaries have been added since February 2021 for pension schemes, and as many as 1.64 lakh people in the district getting pension till date.
During the meeting, the issue of non-payment of eligible people was also raised. On which additional director (social security) Satrunjay Kumar said the pension of 2671 pension holders could not be disbursed due to data error, adding that out of total cases of data error, 1012 have been corrected while remaining others will be corrected within a week.
