Ranchi, March 14: The Ranchi Deputy Development Commissioner has ordered to terminate the contract of the block coordinator in the block whose performance would be unsatisfactory in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) during a review meeting today.
Deputy Development Commissioner Vishal Sagar expressed deep dissatisfaction over the poor performance of Lapung, Mander, Chanho, Silli, Bedo and Tamad blocks in housing completion under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). He directed all the block coordinators to pay special attention to this and get the housing model approved by the department as per the need and with the consent of the beneficiary, to complete all the pending houses in a planned manner before April 30, 2022.
DDC said, “The beneficiaries of all the approved houses should be ensured to get the first instalment FTO done within 7 days from the approval. Delay in the first instalment will not be tolerated at any stage. The beneficiaries should be paid the second instalment before 90 days of the first instalment payment.”
“Under Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Awas Yojna, make sure to complete the pending houses with special attention. Along with this, 06 beneficiaries of the financial year 2021-22, who have not been paid the first instalment, make sure to get the first instalment paid within 7 days,” DDC said.
In the meeting, the Deputy Development Commissioner directed all the Block Development Officers to send their subordinate Block Coordinators to the area every day to get the house inspected and to solve the problems faced by the beneficiaries in the construction of houses.
Paying special attention to the completion of the scheme under MNREGA, the DDC directed all the Block Programme Officers to complete the work on time. Along with this, the DDC directed to regenerate the year wise rejected transactions and get the payment done on time.
All the Block Development Officers, Block Program Officers, Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers and Block Coordinators were present in the online meeting.
