Ranchi district administration bans demo during assembly session

Ranchi, Sept.3: People in the state capital are required to be more alert during assembly sessions as the district administration has imposed a ban on all types of public demonstrations, including processions and rallies besides others to maintain proper law and order.

During the session, which started today and will continue till September 9, people are not allowed to assemble in 750 m peripheries around the state assembly in more than five in number except those engaged in government work or those who are either participating in religious functions or involved in last rites.

The government also barred common people from carrying arms and ammunition or any traditional weapons. The use of loudspeakers is also banned for non-governmental work. A press communiqué issued by district administration informed this
