Ranchi, May 13: Pulse Hospital has always been a matter of discussion in the state as it was linked to senior bureaucrat Pooja Singhal and Bhuihari (tribal) land on which it has been constructed. At the time when the enforcement directorate (ED) has taken the initial lead in establishing the connection, the district administration is yet to establish how a hospital was built on the tribal Bhuihari land which cannot be settled by the state government.

Though Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan took an initiative in the matter and asked Additional Collector (AC) Rajesh Barwar, to ascertain whether any report on the said land was prepared, nothing has come so far.

AC Barwar confirmed the delay saying anything in the matter can be said by late evening tomorrow.

“Letters have been sent to the then additional collector Satyendra Kumar and the then Bargain circle officer Shailesh Kumar to know regarding the report but so far no response has come. Staff have been deputed to search files. It is expected that by tomorrow evening something will come out,” Barwar said optimistically.

An insider, however, said the exercise of the district administration is perfunctory at best as no one is serious in the matter.

“I do not think any junior bureaucrats are taking action in such a serious matter on a tweet of the chief minister. If there is any, it is not expected from him or her to do a proper probe in the matter involving senior bureaucrats enjoying political power. I have doubts that the district administration will be able to find the same,” the insider said.

Another insider was of the same view. “Govind Sarawagi sold land to Abhishek Jha, who is the husband of Pooja Singhal. Sarawgi claims to have purchased the land from some Rungta. When Rungta is caught he will name someone else. In this way, a long trail of sellers and purchasers will surface and finally, nothing will come out. I think this is why the ED has entered into the matter. The district administration is doing the exercise only to give some reply to the ED to save its skin,” the insider said.
