Ranchi Double Murder Case: Police Arrest Two Suspects, Investigation Underway

Ranchi: The Ranchi police have arrested two suspects in connection with the double murder case in Nagri that occurred on Tuesday night. Sources confirm that the arrests were made late Wednesday night, and both individuals are currently being interrogated. However, an official statement from the police is still awaited. Authorities are expected to hold a press conference this evening to reveal further details.

Victim’s Brother Accuses Army Personnel of Murder

The brutal killings were allegedly linked to a land dispute. According to sources:

• The victim, Budhram Munda’s brother, has accused an Army personnel of orchestrating the murders.

• The accused had reportedly paid money for purchasing the land, but Budhram opposed the sale, causing an ongoing dispute.

• The Army personnel and his accomplices planned the murder, and on Tuesday night, they shot Budhram Mundato death.

• Manoj Kachhap, Budhram’s nephew, witnessed the murder and identified the assailants, leading the accused to kill him as well.

Public Outrage Over the Killings

• Local residents staged protests and blocked roads with the victims’ bodies until late Wednesday night, causing massive traffic congestion.

• The blockade was lifted only after senior police officials assured swift action in the case.

Murder Executed by Two Gunmen on a Scooty

• The incident occurred at around 9 PM on Tuesday in Katarpa village, under Nagri police station.

• Two scooty-borne criminals shot Budhram Munda and his nephew, Manoj Kachhap, killing them on the spot.

• A third person narrowly escaped the attack.

• Preliminary investigations indicate that a land dispute was the motive behind the murders.
