Ranchi, June 17: Government schools of the state have been directed to submit reports related to infrastructure by June 18.

Ranchi District Superintendent of Education Kamala Singh has written a letter in this regard to all the BEEOs asking them to submit the report on time.

School managements have been instructed to add information on the arrangement of drinking water, electricity, toilet etc. in their schools in the report. The reports received from the schools will be sent to the education minister of the state.

Notably, this decision has been taken after the Jharkhand Education Minister Jagarnath Mahato reprimanded the BEEOs in a meeting a few days ago. The minister was upset over the lack of basic facilities in the schools and had sought a report within 15 days.

The Education Minister had further directed all the BEEOs to visit the schools regularly and meet the concerned officials to rectify the deficiencies prevailing in the schools. He had also asked all the BEEOs to give a report regarding the number of days they visit the schools and how many correspondences have been made to the higher officials to solve the problem.

Expressing concern over the condition of dropout children in schools, the Education Minister had also instructed officials to work for maximum enrollment.
