Ranchi, June 23: The Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University on Thursday commemorated the death anniversary of its namesake Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

The new Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Tapan Shandilya after paying his respects described him as an intense politician. He said, “He achieved political climax at an early age and became the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calcutta at the age of 33.”
