Ranchi, March 23: A lady knocked on the door of police to get back the HEC quarter which a local woman BJP leader captured after the death of her son working as a guard in HEC.
The lady informed the police that the local BJP leader, Monika Kaur, captured the quarter taking advantage of their absence after the death of her son.
My son Sukhdeo Nath Mishra was the night guard of HEC. A staff quarter, DT 789, was allotted to his name. After his death when we went to our village Monika Kaur captured the quarter. The house and household materials are under her possession. When I returned and asked her to leave she started claiming her right over the house,” the lady said.
Kaur could not be contacted for her comments. A locality resident, however, said that situation arose after the grandson of the lady grew up.
“After the death of Sukhdeo in 2015, the lady along with her grandson Aryan Mishra used to stay. After staying for some months she went to reside with her daughter-in-law working in Bokaro as that boy was hardly 7 years old. The lady had handed over the key to Kaur. Now when the boy has grown up and the lady returns, Kaur is reluctant to vacate the house. She wants Rs 40000 to vacate the house saying she had paid money to get possession of the house,” the resident said.
A police official at Dhurwa police station said an FIR is yet to be registered in this connection.
