Ranchi, June 24: The inauguration ceremony for the 17th National Frontiers of Engineering (NatFoE-23), conclave on “Aatmanirbhar Technologies-Engineering Secured Future”, organized by the INAE-SERB-BIT, in the CAT Hall, BIT Mesra, began today at 9 am.
MP Jayant Sinha was the Chief Guest for the ceremony.
The inauguration ceremony for the two-day event commenced with the lighting of the lamp and the chief guest, Jayant Sinha was welcomed by Professor Indranil Manna, the Vice Chancellor of BIT Mesra, with a bouquet and followed by the Institute prayer.
The proceedings began with a welcome address and introduction by Dr C. Jeganathan, Co-ordinator, NatFoE-23 & Dean RIE, BIT Mesra, Ranchi. It was followed by addresses by Professor Indranil Manna and Jayant Sinha. Lt. Colonel Shobhit Rai (Retd) also delivered the vote of thanks.
As the ceremony proceeded further, Jayant Sinha with the help of a PPT, spoke on “Getting to the Green Frontier: A Net-Zero Development Model for India”, which he has been working on. While interacting with the students, he laid down the challenges that we may face in the near future due to climate change. He suggested increasing the number of Innovation-driven jobs to create sustainable development, as well as the changes that we can make in carbon emissions to continue towards a better world. He urged the students to work towards solving the problems of India.
He explained his Net-Zero Development Model as being the best path for India. The inaugural ceremony culminated at around 11:30 am, with him answering questions coming from the audience related to his session on sustainable development.
