Ranchi police arrest one with Rs 5.03 lakh fake notes

Ranchi, June 30: Jharkhand Police recovered Rs 5.03 lakh counterfeit notes from a location near Fun Castle under Ratu police station area.

The recovery took place from the possession of Mohammed Sohrab, a resident of Bind Mohalla, about 100km from Jharkhand capital in Chatra district.

The breakthrough came after senior superintendent of police Surendra Kumar Jha got a tip off from one of these sources.

 

Sohrab informed the police that counterfeit notes were being used in the business of opium and two more persons, Saddam and Fuzail, are involved in the business.

 

Police are questioning Sohrab to know the sources of counterfeit notes.
