Ranchi police arrest three involved in snatching mobiles

Ranchi, April 5: Police in the Jharkhand capital arrested three youths involved in snatching mobile phones from the fair sex.

The breakthrough came after a working woman, Ruchi Singh, who fell prey to them registered an FIR at Kanke police station on March 30 and the police swung into action.

Those arrested include Rahul Kumar Singh, Pankaj Kumar Mahto and Deepak Kumar Mahto, all residents of Bartoli village under the Pithoria police station area. Police recovered as many as six snatched mobile phones from their possession. Apart from this, police recovered the motorbike they used to use in the crime.

SP(rural) Naushad Alam informed about the breakthrough by organising a press conference. Singh was targeted at the Block Chowk when she was on way to her residence at Birsa Nagar from the office.
