Ranchi, Nov.16: City police foiled attempts of students to stage demonstration in front of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission office for cancellation of JPSC preliminary test result.
The situation came when police turned up near JPSC getting information regarding the agitation and asked them to choose another place for demonstration.
Students first did not budge but later following the direction of the police moved towards Morhabadi ground and finally sat near Bapu Vatika to stage a demonstration.
Officer-in-charge of Lalpur police station Rajeev Kumar confirmed the situation saying the demonstration was peaceful and the number of protesters was hardly 150.
Students want cancellation of JPSC results pointing to irregularities in the selection process.
