Ranchi, Jan.18: Police recovered the body of a 35-yr-old woman named Lakshmi Devi from a well in Hazam village under Tupudana police station area.
The reason behind her death could not be ascertained so far. However, her parents suspected it to be a dowry death.
A police official said all possible angles are being probed in the matter.
“The woman, who is a mother of three, had been married seven years ago. She used to work as a labourer with her husband, who had a habit of regular liquor consumption. We are probing whether it was a case of suicide or accident or murder. Except a scratch mark on the left hand of the body, we have found nothing suggesting murder,” a police official at Tupudana said.
