Ranchi, June 5: Officials at PVUN pledged for environment protection on Sunday to commemorate the World Environment Day along with Prem Parkash, CEO (PVUN); S K Panda, GM (Project); M C Karan, GM (TS); Devdeep Bose, GM (C&T); Sampath Kumar Ramu Kandala, GM (FQA); A P Shivastava, GM (CCD); Neeraj Kumar Roy, (HoHR); Sipan Garg (CFO), and Rabishankar Mukhupadhyay, AGM (Envt. Mgt.) along with other PVUN officials, Swarnarekha Mahila Samiti, Bal Bhawan children and ICH workers.
Director (Operations)’s message was read during the event wherein he emphasised on saving our Mother Earth by effective waste and effluent management and conservation of natural resources.
During this event, a mass tree plantation drive was also undertaken, in order to highlight the need for more green spaces.
United Nations has marked June 5 as the World Environment Day. A day that promotes worldwide awareness and action for the protection of our environment. Only One Earth was the theme for the first climate conference in Stockholm. Adopted again 50 years later, Sunday on 5th June 2022, the theme reiterates that this planet is the only home of humans, and humanity must safeguard its finite resources.
