Ranchi, Feb. 3: Dr. Saurabh Sharma of the RIMS plastic surgery department was killed when a school bus ran over him in the evening near Karamtoli Chowk in the Lalpur police station area.

Dr. Sharma, who leaves behind a doctor wife and a nine-year-old boy, was on her way to RIMS from Main Road when the accident occurred.
So far, it has not been determined which school bus was responsible for the doctor’s death. Police have begun gathering CCTV footage in order to identify the bus owner and driver.
Dr Vikas Kumar, President of the RIMS Junior Doctors Association, stated that Dr Sharma fell off his scooty and was lying on the road when the bus ran over him and fled.

According to a local, people rushed the critically injured doctor to RIMS, where physicians proclaimed him dead.
“People around continued to yell, but the bus sped away from the scene. Locals summoned an ambulance and rushed the seriously injured doctor to the hospital. “However, he died before arriving at the hospital,” the resident explained.
