Ranchi team secures top spot at 12th Jharkhand State Sub-Junior & Junior Swimming Championship 2022

Ranchi, June 27: The team from Ranchi has emerged as the winner of the 12th Jharkhand State Sub-Junior & Junior Swimming Championship 2022 by acquiring 393 points (22 Gold, 23 Silver and 18 Bronze). Tata Steel has emerged as runners-up with 205 points.

In the 400 m freestyle for Boys –I, Dipanshu Singh from Tata Steel secured the first position whereas Apurv Kumar Tiwari from Ranchi and Ishan Mukherjee from Tata Steel secured the second and third positions respectively.

Notably, in the 400m freestyle for Girls-I, Priya Oraon from Ranchi came first whereas Yutika Sethi from Tata Steel and Sweta Lakra from Ranchi ended up in second and third places respectively.

In the 50m butterfly for Boys, Piyush Kumar Singh from Tata Steel secured the top position and was followed by Apurv Kumar Tiwari and Hemant Mahto from Ranchi at the second and third positions.

Similarly, in the 50m butterfly for Girls, Arti Kumari and Arti Kachhap from Ranchi secured the top two positions whereas they were followed by Ariana Shivu Parikh from East Singbhum.

The Chief Guests Nikita Sinha and Barkha Sinha jointly presented the trophy to the winning team from Ranchi. Archit Anand, President of Ranchi District Swimming Association expressed his gratitude to all his colleagues including JSSPS and said that soon the children of Jharkhand will be trained with high quality by the association so that the players here will also bring laurels to their state and country.
