Ranchi to host 12th Jharkhand State Shooting Championship from August 5

Ranchi, August 4: The 12th Jharkhand State Shooting Championship 2022 will be organised from August 5 to 7 at Tikait Umrao Singh Shooting Range Hotwar in Ranchi and all its preparations have been completed.

Uttam Chand, General Secretary, Jharkhand State Rifle Association informed that about 450 shooters from different districts of Jharkhand will participate in this championship to be organised under the aegis of the Jharkhand State Rifle Association. 

There will be about 60 different competitions where people from the age of 12 to 60 years can participate in different competitions. There are separate competitions for boys and girls.

Chand said that the State Sports Minister Hafizul Hasan will inaugurate the tournament, while the special guests on the occasion include Ajay Kumar Singh, DG, Anti-Corruption Bureau, and Ankit Shukla.    

The qualified participants will participate in GV Mavalankar and National Championship apart from the zonal competition. The closing ceremony and prize distribution ceremony will be held on August 7. Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto will be the chief guest for the closing ceremony.
