Ranchi, Feb.8: A 25-yr-old unmarried woman named Nisha Kumari, who apart from working as a maid, was pursuing  higher education in the city, was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her rented room at EWS 129 in Harmu Housing Colony.

An Aadhar card recovered from the room suggested that she was the daughter of Bartu Oraon, a resident of Silagain under the Chanho police station area.

Police personnel, who reached the spot getting information from landlord Rakesh Singh, did not recover any suicide note. The door was opened when police reached the spot. The landlord said that woman was staying there for the last two months

Police have informed about the incident to the woman’s parents and sent the body for an autopsy at RIMS. The matter is under investigation. So far no FIR was registered in this connection.
