Ranchi University VC now in charge of VBU Hazaribag

Hazaribag, June 2: New vice chancellor in charge of Vinoba Bhave University, Dr Ajit Kumar Sinha said it is his priority to raise the academic standard in the university by promoting various types of academic activities along with discipline. He said these things while addressing the university officials in his office on Friday after taking charge. Dr Sinha is currently the vice chancellor of Ranchi University. This alternative arrangement has been made by the Governor after the service of Dr Mukul Narayan Dev ended on May 31.

Before taking charge, Dr Sinha garlanded the statue of Vinoba Bhave on reaching the varsity campus. On the occasion, Registrar Dr Kaushalendra Kumar, Financial Advisor Sunil Kumar Singh, Director of RUSA Dr Chandrashekhar Singh, Former Registrar Dr Virendra Kumar Gupta, Dr KK Gupta, Information and Public Relations Officer Dr Pramod Kumar, Prof. Vimal Mishra and several Heads of Departments, teachers and office bearers were present. All welcomed the in-charge vice-chancellor by giving him bouquets.

Dr Sinha said the goal of all-around development of students by conducting academic and co-curricular activities in the university in accordance with the new National Education Policy is the goal of all. This goal is to be achieved through the cooperation of all, he added.

He also said that teachers will be appointed with the permission of the Human Resource Department and the Raj Bhavan in all the affiliated colleges of the five districts under the varsity to make the subject-wise teacher-student ratio as per the provision. Along with this, efforts will also be made to remove the shortage of non-teaching staff prevailing in the university.

On the other hand, in response to a question, he said efforts will be made to make it ranked among the leading universities of the country by emphasizing on studies and research work. Along with this, the focus will be on the provisions of the New Education Policy and the work culture in the university.
