Mumbai, April 10: Following the death of a family member, Bangalore pacer Harshal Patel has left the IPL 2022 bio-bubble. Harshal left the bubble after learning of a family tragedy just after the game against Mumbai Indians, according to PTI.
Harshal has been RCB’s standout player in recent seasons, taking two wickets in the team’s seven-wicket triumph over MI on Saturday night.
“Unfortunately, Harshal had to leave the bio-bubble due to a death in his family. It was his sister. He did not take the team bus back to Mumbai from Pune,” said an IPL source.
According to the sources, he will be rejoining the bubble before the next game against CSK on April 12.
Notably, after making his debut last year, the 31-year-old has played eight T20Is.
