Ranchi, April 26: Regular yoga classes for students started at the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL).
The development took place following the advice of Jharkhand High Court Justice Apresh Kumar Singh to the NUSRL vice-chancellor (VC) Keshwa Rao to conduct yoga classes for the students.
On the first day, Swami Muktrath and Gaurav Kumar conducted theoretical and practical classes on Yoga. The Bihar Yoga system was practised for overall health.
The system includes Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Jnana Yoga.
Muktrath during the introductory session underlines the importance of Yoga saying that the way many types of mental problems are increasing in India along with diabetes and heart disease, it is a matter of concern and it can be prevented by the practice of holistic yoga-like Asana, Pranayama, Shatkarma, Dhyana and Kirtan.
VC Rao advised all the law students to be regular in yoga classes saying it will help them a lot in keeping their health and mind healthy and that will help in their studies. He said that Pranayama and meditation keep the mind stress free.
