Jamshedpur, May 30: Restrictions on parking vehicles will soon be imposed at the picturesque Jubilee Park in Jamshedpur.
Tata Steel UISL (formerly JUSCO) is working on a plan to stop parking vehicles at the scenic park which draws huge footfall of both daily visitors as well as tourists, who come from various places.
Sources said that the right side of the main road of the park would be barricaded so as to prevent parking of bikes, auto-rickshaws and other vehicles.
Officials of Tata Steel UISL said that the removed divider block of Mango bridge would be used for barricading Jubilee Park Main Road.
The park remained closed for two years since March 24, 2020, due to the pandemic.
Entry of all visitors was restricted. Then gradually when the situation started returning to normal with the effect of Corona subsiding, even then the road along with the park was not being opened for vehicular movement.
The local residents raised their voices against this.
The park finally reopened earlier this year.
Visitors to the park admitted that the vehicles which remain parked along the roadside create problems for computers.
“Tata Steel UISL which looks after the park has taken the right decision for barricading which will prevent parking of vehicles. This will ensure smooth passage for people entering the park,” said Anjali Sharma, who frequently goes to the park for morning work.
