Jamshedpur, Oct 17: The retreating southwest monsoon would result in light thundershowers across several districts of Jharkhand today, said a bulletin issued by IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre.
The southwest monsoon has further withdrawn from some more parts of Jharkhand and the withdrawal line was passing through Kanke on the outskirts of Ranchi.
Conditions are very likely to become favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from some more parts of Jharkhand during the next 24 hours.
Today’s forecast for Ranchi and its adjoining areas predicted a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of thundery development.
Weathermen said there will be no significant change in maximum temperature during the next three to four days.
According to weathermen, thundershowers were expected in southern and central Jharkhand.
Jharkhand’s rainfall suggests 61 per cent surplus rain so far in October. Against a normal of 53.2 mm, the state has so far received 85.9 mm of rain.
