Ramgarh, Aug 2: A huge rock fell on the track due to a landslide on the Ranchi-Barkakana railway line near Dadidag Halt on Tuesday afternoon. Due to this, train operations on this route are disrupted till now. Recently started Vande Bharat Express between Ranchi and Patna runs on this route. This accident happened due to rain. This railway section has been constructed recently at a cost of Rs 3800 crores.
According to the information, after the rain, at a distance of one and a half kilometres between Hehal and Sanki, nearby Dadidag Halt, huge rocks fell on the track after breaking from the mountain. Due to this, the rail traffic on this line is disrupted. Its information was given to the Hehal station master. After this, the railway officer was informed about this. After getting the information, the work of repairing the track started on a war footing, which continues till now on Wednesday. DRM himself is monitoring the entire work. About 100 workers were engaged in the work of removing debris from the track by taking the mega block.
Rail operations will be started after repair. As soon as the information was received, Deputy CE Construction Vikram Seth, ATM Barkakana Rajhans Singh, ADEN Parmanand Prasad, TI Vivek Kumar, SSE Randhir Kumar, Avinash Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Mitesh Kumar, Ramesh Kumar including Engineering, TRD, Operating became alert on the situation and started on solving the issue. Around a hundred personnel are engaged in relief and rescue.
Due to work, Train number 22349/22350 Patna – Ranchi – Patna Vande Bharat Express train journey commencing today will run via Tatisilway – Muri – Barkakana instead of its scheduled route of Tatisilway – Sanki – Barkakana.
