New Delhi, Dec 20: India captain Rohit Sharma and pacer Navdeep Saini have been ruled out of the second Test against Bangladesh due to injury, BCCI made this announcement on Tuesday.
In the ODI series, Rohit had a thumb injury from which he has not yet fully recovered. The BCCI announced Rohit’s absence from the second Test in a release and hinted that Sanii would also be unable to play.
“Rohit Sharma not be available for the second Test against Bangladesh due to his left thumb injury. Navdeep Saini is also ruled out of the second Test owing to an abdominal muscle strain,” said BCCI in a statement.
“Navdeep Saini is also ruled out of the second Test owing to an abdominal muscle strain. The fast bowler will now report to the NCA for further management of his injury,” it further added.
