RPF detects three nuts of railway bridge in Jharkhand missing, suspects foul play

Ranchi, July 8: In a foul play which could have led to an accident, three nuts of a railway bridge built over the Subarnarekha River of Hatia-Rourkela railway section have been found to be missing.

In this regard, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) has registered an FIR at the Dhurwa police station. The RPF has said in the FIR thyat this is a conspiracy and it could have led to a train accident.

The Officer-in-charge of Dhurwa police station, Vimal Nandan, confirmed the FIR but ruled out any conspiracy.

“Information was given on Friday night. Primary investigation does not suggest any conspiracy. However, a conclusive statement can be given once the investigation gets completed,” Nandan said.

The Hatia-Rourkela section is an Indian Railway line connecting Hatia on the Netaji S.C.Bose Gomoh-Hatia line in Jharkhand with Rourkela on the Tatanagar-Bilaspur section in Odisha. This is a 165 kilometers track. It is under the jurisdiction of South Eastern Railway.
