RU appoints 45 assistant professors after instructions from Governor

Ranchi, Feb 22: The Ranchi University on Tuesday, appointed a total of 45 Assistant Professors of different subjects after recommendation from the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC). This decision came to the fore right after Governor-cum-Chancellor of Jharkhand State Universities Ramesh Bais, while reviewing the academic and administrative activities at Raj Bhawan ordered for the immediate appointment of officers in the Universities at a meeting with VCs on Tuesday.

In a notification, the university stated, ‘In exercise of the power vested in her under the provisions of Jharkhand State Universities Act 2000, as amended up to date, the Vice-Chancellor has been pleased to appoint the following persons as Lecturer/Assistant Professor provisionally under Ranchi University service in the subject noted below on the recommendation of Jharkhand Public Service Commission, Ranchi.’

The notification further stated the pay scale Rs 57700-182400/- along with admissible allowances as per RU rules.

The selected professors are to submit their joining report within one month from the date of issue of notification to the Principal/Prof in-charge of the college concerned along with original certificates, degrees and caste/residential certificates for verification.

The teachers have been selected for a total of nine subjects including Political Science, Hindi, Urdu, Mathematics, Geography, Kurmali, Nagpuri, Philosophy, and Zoology for colleges including Marwari College, Ranchi Women’s College, JN College, Doranda College, Birsa College, and Doranda College among others.
