Ranchi, Feb 17: The Ranchi University syndicate on Thursday approved the varsity statute committee’s 28 proposals after discussion. Of these, several requested permission for pending appointment and promotion of teachers via JPSC. The syndicate approved this for several teachers in several colleges of the university.
Furthermore, it has been agreed to give approval for Dr. Vinod Singh, Vice-Chairman of Jharkhand Academic Council and teacher of KCB College Bedo. The members of the Syndicate have also approved the appointment of Assistant Professors for a total of 45 posts in the university.
Promotions of several professors have been approved under the Advancement Scheme of many teachers including Dr. Radhakrishna Jha, Dr. Balram Jha, Ishwari Prasad, Dr Sudha Upadhyay, Dr Shriti Chaudhary, Dhan Singh Mahato, Subodh Chandra Shukla, among others all of which have been recommended by the JPSC. The syndicate further approved giving a ‘Swargiya Professor Raghu Ji Verma Gold Medal’ to Birendra Singh, the topper in PG Geology.
At the same time, consent was given to send the budget amount spent for the convocation held on February 4. The Syndicate further approved sale of old vehicles and parts in the RU campus as scrap. Along with this, the Syndicate nodded for the demolition of the building behind the Exam department at the University’s main campus along with setting up two harvesting systems at the rate of Rs 50000 each at the University’s main campus and Morabadi campus.
During the meeting, approval was given to the recommendation by the JPSC for appointment of Father Augustam at Paramvir Albert Ekka Memorial College. Apart from this, several decisions taken by the Finance Committee have also been approved. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Kamini Kumar said that all the teachers who have been appointed by the JPSC and have been given promotion will serve in Ranchi University’s Hindi, English, History, Geography and other departments. DSW Dr R K Sharma, Dr T N Sahu, Dr K C Prasad, Dr Hiranand, Dr Dinesh Kumar, Dr Hari Oraon, Dr B P Verma, Dr Manoj Kumar, Dr Vinayak Lal, Dr Pritam Kumar among others were present at the meeting.
