Ranchi: Sahajanand Chowk, one of Ranchi’s key intersections, is set to undergo a major transformation under a new beautification plan aimed at turning it into a modern city landmark.
Fountain and Decorative Lighting Planned
According to the proposed design, the center of the chowk will feature a new structure with a fountain and attractive lighting. Special night illumination is expected to give the junction a fresh visual identity.
Greenery and Landscaping Included
The redevelopment plan also focuses on increasing greenery through plantation drives and landscaped surroundings, making the area more appealing and organized.
Traffic Management Improvements
To reduce congestion, the project includes road markings, an improved signal system, and diversion planning. Officials expect these measures to ease daily traffic jams in the busy area.
Beyond a Traffic Junction
Authorities said the goal is to develop Sahajanand Chowk not just as a traffic point, but as an attractive public space for the city. The work will be completed in phases to minimize inconvenience for residents and commuters.
