The High Court had reserved its decision on this. In the Jharkhand High Court, a plea was made in the High Court demanding compliance of the order of the lower court to bring back the former MLA Sanjeev Singh from Dumka to Dhanbad jail.

The court had reserved its decision after hearing full arguments from both the sides. The state government has also filed a petition in this matter.
