New Delhi, July 11: The Supreme Court will hear from August 2 the petitions challenging the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution giving special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The constitution bench of five judges of the Supreme Court has asked all the parties to give their answers. Day-to-day hearings will be held from 2 August.
The Supreme Court has approved the consideration of the application filed by IAS officer Shah Faesal to remove his name from the list of petitioners challenging the abrogation of Article 370. The petition of activist Shehla Rashid Shora, requesting to remove her name from the list of petitioners, was also accepted for consideration. In this case, the constitution bench fixed the deadline of July 27 for filing documents, giving written arguments by the parties.
