School student dies in road mishap at Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, April 30:  In a tragic incident, an 11-year-old student identified as Aditya Prasad was killed in a road mishap at Baridih while he was going to school on Saturday morning.

The victim was the son of Binod Prasad and a resident of Baridih Basti. He was a student of Baridih AIWC School.

He left for school on his bicycle and as fate had its way, a speeding biker hit him killing the student on the spot. The erring biker fled the spot as the student lay in a pool of blood.

The crowd who had assembled at the spot soon after the mishap rushed the victim to the MGM Medical College and Hospital where he was declared as brought dead. The child breathed his last before the parents could reach the hospital.

A situation of gloom descended in the slum after the incident. The students and teachers along with the parents were in a state of shock.
