Ranchi, Oct 1: The security system of Divisional Jail Chaibasa will be strengthened at a cost of Rs 15.68 lakh. The Home Department has approved the amount. With this amount, two watch towers will be built in the jail.
Earlier in the month of July, the main gate of the jail was cordoned off at a cost of Rs 55.24 lakh.
At present many big criminals and Naxalites are lodged in Chaibasa jail. In such a situation, it is very important to strengthen the security system of the jail.
In the order issued by the Home Department, it has been said that the responsibility for the quality of the construction work will be jointly held by the concerned superintendent and the agency. The concerned agencies will ensure high-quality and standard-level work. This will be their personal responsibility.
If there is any deficiency in the quality of work or if the work is not found to be of standard standard, the concerned agency will be directly responsible for it. In such a situation, legal action will be taken against them. The concerned jail superintendent will continuously check the plans and will ensure the timely completion of the work under his supervision.
