Ranchi, Nov.18:  The Jharkhand High Court on Friday expressed its anguish over the poor management of the state-run super specialty hospital, Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice Sujeet Ranjan Prasad verbally observed that it should be a shame that mobile phones have to be mortgaged to take a trolley at the institute.

The observation came while hearing PILs involving various issues related to RIMS including appointment of fourth grade employees.

During the hearing of the writ petition related to the appointment of the fourth grade in RIMS, the court said that an inquiry committee will be constituted regarding the mistakes made in the new advertisement and guilty officials will be identified. During the hearing, RIMS also admitted that there was a mistake in the new advertisement.

The court fixed the hearing of the case on November 22. Advocate Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh appeared on behalf of RIMS.
