Sidhu sends invitation letter signed by 65 MLAs to Captain Amarinder, will be crowned on 23

On Chief Minister Amarinder Singh's stand of not meeting Sidhu till he publicly apologized, some MLAs said there was no need for it.

Chandigarh : The newly appointed President of Punjab Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu will be crowned on 23 July. It is reported that he has sent an invitation letter to CM Captain Amarinder Singh with the signatures of about 65 MLAs. Along with this, Sidhu has also called Harish Rawat, AICC in-charge of Punjab.

Let us tell you that before this, about 60 MLAs of the party reached Navjot Singh Sidhu’s house on Wednesday to meet him, it is known that the Congress has a total of 80 MLAs in the Punjab Assembly.

The dispute between Sidhu and Amarinder Singh has been going on for a long time.

The dispute between Sidhu and Amarinder Singh has been going on for a long time. The Amritsar (East) MLA has recently attacked the Chief Minister several times over the sacrilege cases. The chief minister was also against his appointment as the state Congress president. Amarinder Singh had also said that the Chief Minister would not meet Sidhu until he publicly apologized for the derogatory remarks made against him.

Surprised at the behavior of the Chief Minister

On Chief Minister Amarinder Singh’s stand of not meeting Sidhu till he publicly apologized, some MLAs said there was no need for it. Minister Randhawa said that he was surprised at the behavior of the Chief Minister. He said that Sidhu’s appointment to the post of state chief has to be accepted and respected by all, irrespective of the differences between them in the past.

Randhawa said that even before this senior leaders Pratap Singh Bajwa and Sukhpal Singh Khaira also had differences with Amarinder Singh, but now everything has been resolved. Randhawa questioned, then why can’t the Chief Minister end his differences with Sidhu.
