Imphal, June 24: The Manipur Police on Saturday stated that although the situation in the violent state is stressful, it is under control. Although occasional occurrences have been reported in various districts, the situation is generally normal in most districts.
District security coordination committee meetings are regularly held at the districts, a statement from the police said. They added that more attention is paid to fringe regions in both hill and valley districts and that patrolling, flag marches, cordons and search operations are also carried out in vulnerable areas.
On Saturday, search activities were carried out at two places in the Imphal West District by a team composed of Executive Magistrates, District Police Imphal-West and Central Forces.
