Ahmedabad, June 4: Sunita Shukla, the deputy chief of the BJP’s Ahmedabad unit, has reacted angrily to Vadodara resident Kshama Bindu’s choice to marry herself on June 11.
Sunita while talking to news agency said, “I’m against the choice of venue, she’ll not be allowed to marry herself in any temple. Such marriages are against Hinduism. This will reduce the population of Hindus. If anything goes against religion then no law will prevail.”

“Bindu is mentally ill,” Sunita Shukla stated. She claims that it is not written anywhere in Hindu culture that a boy can marry a boy or a girl can marry a girl.
Notably, Kshama Bindu, a 24-year-old girl in Vadodara is all set to marry herself with all traditions and wedding vows.
Kshama has a bachelor’s degree in sociology and currently works for a private corporation as a senior recruitment officer. Her parents are engineers. Her father lives in South Africa, while her mother continues to live in Ahmedabad.
While most ladies fantasize about a groom who will arrive on a horse and whisk them away, Kshama discovered her groom within herself. She loves herself so much that she doesn’t want to marry anyone else. As a result, she chose to marry herself in an unprecedented move.
“I had this idea in my mind for a long time but didn’t think it’d be possible. Then I read about ‘sologamy’. That’s when I thought let’s marry myself,” Kshama had stated in an interview.
