A son killed his mother in Mundri village, located in the remote area of Sonua police station, West Singhbhum. The accused was intoxicated and after a dispute, he strangled the mother to death. After this, the body was hanged from a noose made of a tree. The incident happened on Wednesday and the police have arrested the accused son.
The deceased was identified as Madee Kui (65). On Wednesday night, his son Turam Hembram reached home in an intoxicated state. A dispute took place between the mother and son over some issue as there used to be frequent disputes between the two. After this, Turam strangled his mother with a cloth. This resulted in the death of Madee Kui. After which the accused Turam hanged the body from a noose made of a tree near the house.
The police got information about the incident from the villagers two days later on Friday. After this the police reached the village and sent the body for postmortem. At the same time, the accused Turam Hembram was also arrested and brought to the police station. Here the police interrogating the accused.
