Ranchi, Aug 23: The Sports Authority of Jharkhand (SAJHA) has once again come into the limelight as one of the ‘Khel Mitr’ has filed a written complaint against a senior official on August 10 for abusing and threatening him.
Ankit Munda, one of the workers or ‘Khel Mitr’ at Birsa Munda Football Stadium has accused his senior Kush Kumar Sahu who works in the paper dispatch department of abusing and threatening him of removing him from the job.
According to Munda, the incident took place on the morning of August 6 at Athletics stadium in Khelgaon when he along with his co-worker Munna Munda went to talk to him.
“Sir had called me on my phone on the night of August 5 but I could not receive it. I was scared after seeing I had missed the call. The next morning I went to the stadium with my colleague Munna Munda to meet Sahu Sir and after seeing us he started abusing us and threatened to fire us,” the complaint letter read.
His co-worker Munna informed that actually it was a day prior to the Subroto Cup and Sahu called them regarding the preparation of the tourney but they could not receive the call as it was too late.
However, Kush Kumar spoke to lagatar24.com and said that there has been some misunderstanding between the two which led to the quarrel and he said that he had not abused the person.
“As I am their senior, I can scold them if they do not attend their duties on time or work properly. Whatever happened that day was due to some misunderstanding. I have not abused them but just scolded them and they thought otherwise. It was never such a big matter and it was sorted out on the spot,” Sahu said.
