Daltonganj, Feb 26: Palamu police along with SSB Bihar arrested JJMP area commander Arvind Ram and five others, bringing a sense of relief to brick kiln operators in Bihar and Jharkhand.

The JJMP area commander had created a reign of terror among the brick kiln operators, and it was a trans-border terror. Farmers who produce coarse grains on the river Sone’s dry land in Bihar were also required to pay the levy to this JJMP rebel.

The arrested persons were made to surrender to the team of the Seema Suraksha Bal Bihar and Jharkhand Palamu district armed police of Hussainabad.

SP Palamu Chandan Kumar Sinha was all praise for the SSB Bihar in nabbing the 6 JJMP members.

Police discovered a well-finished country-made rifle and Katta with 10 rounds of ammunition, as well as seven cell phones, on the six suspects. According to the SP, no cash was found on any of the six arrested people who were remanded in judicial custody today.

Arvind Ram is a renegade criminal who has worked as a Maoist, a dacoit, and a member of the TSPC before joining the JJMP. He spent three years in Rajasthan’s Jaipur jail, but that did not make him a reasonable guy, according to the SP.

Ram wreaked havoc on the world and had no regrets. There are 15 cases against him, and police in Bihar and Jharkhand were desperately looking for him.

The six had arrived in Jharkhand’s Palamu (Hussainabad) to extort money from a brick kiln operator but their plan was foiled by the SSB Bihar and the Jharkhand Palamu district armed police.

They were in cahoots with each other in a plain field of the mustard crop from where they were made to surrender.

All six members, including Arvind Ram, are from Bihar’s Aurangabad.

Interestingly, all six came to Jharkhand by foot, according to SDPO Hussainabad Pujya Prakash. The Naxals doing ‘pad yatra’ from Bihar Aurangabad to Jharkhand Palamu that too six in count and with arms and ammunition makes one’s eyebrows raise.

The SDPO sharing in a lighter vein said Arvind Ram had engaged 50 vehicles as part of his baraat convoy in Bihar only last year where he did not pay any money to any of the 50 vehicle owners except their fuel tank was filled by Ram or his henchmen.
