Ramgarh, Sept 16: Class 12 students of St Xavier’s School, Ranchi visited PVUN, Patratu for an industrial visit on Friday.
Shantanu Kumar, DGM (ME) elaborated on the workings of a thermal power plant to the students. He further guided the students on how coal is converted into electricity, and the best practices incorporated by NTPC. Gaurav Yadav, SM (P&S) presented an aerial view of PVUN explaining the students how the functioning will take place.
Industrial visits are the first point of interaction between a student and a live working industry. Such visits provide the students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction and working methods. It gives the students exposure to current work practices as opposed to theoretical knowledge being taught in their college classrooms.
