Mumbai, June 29: Kajol and Suriya have been invited to join the Academy Class by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which organises the Oscars each year.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences sent 397 invitations to ‘distinguished artists and business people,’ according to an official statement from the organisation. The list of invitees announced the new Academy Class for the year 2022.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has additionally invited talented performers including Jamie Dornan, Michael Greyeyes, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Billie Eilish to the event in addition to Kajol and Suriya.
The Academy has invited Reema Kagt, who wrote the scripts for “Dil Dhadakne Do” and “Gully Boy,” both of which starred Ranveer Singh, to work on the scripting for the film. Aditya Sood, an Indian-American producer who worked on blockbuster Hollywood movies like “The Martian” and “Deadpool,” has also been invited.
