Tata Steel to organise Joda Run-a-thon in Odisha on Nov 26

Jamshedpur, Oct 19: Tata Steel will organise its maiden Run-a-thon at Joda in Odisha reiterating its commitment to the promotion of sports at national and international levels thereby creating and encouraging the wellness of stakeholders in its operating locations.

The theme for the Joda event is ‘Run for a Greener Tomorrow’ and runners from across the country are expected to demonstrate their commitment to a healthy and green future.

The event will be held on November 26 (Sunday) at Central Playground, Joda for three categories; 10 km and 7 km run for men and women (15 years and above), 5 km run for boys and girls under the age of 16 years (born between November 26, 2011, and November 26, 2007), and 2 km run for persons with special abilities.

The total prize money to be won in various categories is Rs 5.67 lakhs.

Towards its commitment to nature, Tata Steel will plant a sapling for each participant. As many as 4,000 runners are expected to participate in the event.
