Ramgarh, Aug 27: Tata Steel West Bokaro Division paid rich tributes to its first Chairman Dorabji Tata on the occasion of his 164th birth anniversary at Dorabji Tata Biodiversity Park, Pundi on Sunday.
On this occasion, the Chief Guest of the function, Anurag Dixit, General Manager, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel along with Mahesh Prasad, President, Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Union, PK Singh, Secretary, Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Union were present at this park established in honour of Dorabji Tata. Along with senior officers, employees and union representatives of the Division, they paid floral tributes to Dorabji Tata at his statue.
An exhibition on the milestones and achievements of Dorabji Tata’s life was also organized on the occasion.
Additionally, a three-day inter-school basketball tournament was inaugurated by the Sports Department at the Sports Complex. On this occasion, children from different schools are participating in this competition that will end on August 29 on the occasion of Sports Day.
