Tata Steel, West Bokaro holds security awareness program for female staff

Ramgarh, Dec 23: Tata Steel West Bokaro Division organized Women Employee Security Awareness Program at TSF Conference Hall on Thursday to create awareness about security among women employees.

Ramgarh SP Piyush Pandey attended the program as the chief guest. Anurag Dixit, General Manager, Tata Steel, West Bokaro Division was also present on the occasion.

The SP in his address said, “It is very important to change the patriarchal thinking and at the same time we should start from home towards safety without promoting discrimination.”

The awareness program was conducted by Sunanda C, Senior Manager, Security, Tata Steel, Jamshedpur.

Over 100 women employees and transgenders were present in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Aashi, a transwoman working as a rear dumper operator, said, “I feel very secure at Tata Steel. Earlier, there were many problems in my life but now I feel empowered and doing my work with dedication.”

Girish Sharma, Head, Security, Tata Steel, West Bokaro Division, Sudhir Singh, Head, HRBP, Tata Steel, West Bokaro along with Akanksha Priya, and other officers were present in the programme.
