Tata Steel West Bokaro organises inter-divisional Lagori championship

Ramgarh, Aug 2: The Sports Department of Tata Steel West Bokaro Division organized Inter Divisional Lagori Championship at the Sports Complex.  40 women players from teams of five departments of West Bokaro Division namely Quarry SE, Quarry AB, General Services, Engineering Services and Coal Beneficiation participated in this competition.

The final match was played on August 2 between Engineering Services and Coal Beneficiation.  In a thrilling match, the Engineering Services team won the Inter-Departmental Lagori Championship by defeating the Coal Beneficiation team by a margin of 2-0 sets.

The chief guest of the final match, Rohit Kumar, Head, Administration, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel, along with Nirdosh Jha, deputy-Secretary, Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Union, West Bokaro, honoured the winner and runner-up teams with trophies and prizes.

The role of Arshad Ali, Lagori Coach, Jamshedpur, Mani Kumar and sports department’s Rajeev Ranjan Singh, D Manjhi, RR Singh, Mohd Rafiq and K D Singh was commendable in making the competition a success.
