Jamshedpur, Jan 5: In its efforts to serve the community better and be future-ready, Tata Steel’s West Bokaro Division on Wednesday dedicated an ultra-modern new wing facility at Tata Central Hospital, West Bokaro.
The facility was jointly inaugurated virtually by D B Sundara Ramam, vice -president (Raw Materials), Tata Steel and Chanakya Chaudhary, vice- president (Corporate Services), Tata Steel.
The facility was completed in record time keeping in view the Covid situation.
Chanakya Chaudhary said that the division has been taking a lot of initiatives to address the Covid menace and this is yet another step to address the situation at present.
The newly built new wing at Tata Central Hospital, West Bokaro division is built with state-of-the-art material of Nest-In and spans over an area of 2,555 sqft.
The ultra-modern 28-bed facility houses patient wards, nurse’s room, dressing room, medicine room and separate toilets for patients and hospital staff. The external walls are made of high-density fiber cement boards with weather shield paint and thick Aluminum Composite Panel (ACP) cladding.
The internal walls are made of Fiber Cement Board (FCB) and gypsum boarding. Between the external and internal walls is a layer of Rockwool insulation. Double charged vitrified ceramic floor tiles with anti-skid properties have also been installed.
The use of rockwool in the facility not only ensures thermal efficiency, provides dimensional stability, protects from fire and vapour permeability but also makes sure that the building is soundproof thereby ensuring the comfort of the patients.
Present on the occasion were, Dr Sudhir Rai, general manager, Medical Services, Tata Steel, Dr Rajan Chaudhry, advisor, Medical Services, Tata Steel, B V Sudhir Kumar, Chief (CB), West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel and several other senior officials.
