Patna, March 11: Tejashwi Yadav, the deputy chief minister of Bihar, was summoned by the CBI earlier in the day, but he will not appear before them on Saturday in connection with the land-for-job case, according to sources quoted by ANI.
It also mentioned that Tejashwi’s wife, who was pregnant, was admitted to the hospital on Friday as a result of ED interrogation. After questioning his parents Lalu Yadav and Rabri in the same case, the CBI called RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav in for further interrogation.
“Tejashwi Yadav won’t appear before the CBI due to his wife’s health. After the ED raid, she was hospitalised yesterday at a private hospital in Delhi. She is pregnant and after twelve hours of interrogation she fainted due to BP problems,” sources said.

His first summons was issued on February 4, but he failed to appear before the CBI investigators, therefore a new date was set for Saturday, according to the officials quoted by the news agency PTI.

This comes a day after the ED conducted raids at multiple locations in Bihar and Delhi on Friday. In connection with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) scam, searches are being undertaken at 15 locations across three states. The home of RJD politician and Lalu Prasad Yadav’s aide Abu Dojana in Patna, Bihar, is also the target of raids.
